Car help in Glasgow. Free to ask, no obligation.

Get help with your car: tell us the problem

Broken down, failed MOT, need a part or a garage, looking for a decent cheap car, or want rid of an old one? Or just not sure what to do? Tell us what's going on and a real person will get back to you with honest options.

In danger or broken down on a motorway? Call 999 first.

If you are stopped in a live lane, can't get out safely, or anyone is hurt, call 999 and ask for the police. If you have breakdown cover, call them. We are not a recovery company and can't send a truck, but once you are safe we can help you work out what to do next. Read car broken down in Glasgow: what to do.

What do you need help with?

Phone or email is enough. You do not need both.

We use what you send only to deal with your request. See the privacy policy.

What we are, and what we're not

  • We are a small Glasgow car business. We buy and sell used cars, and help people sort out car problems.
  • We are not a recovery company, an insurer or a garage. We point you to options and you choose.
  • Free to ask, no obligation. We don't take payment through this form.
  • We don't promise a price before we have one.

Not safe to drive?

If the brakes, steering or tyres feel wrong, or a red warning light is on, don't drive it. A car that failed its MOT with a dangerous defect shouldn't be driven until it's fixed.

Rather send a message?

You can also message us on Facebook (opens in a new tab). A real person reads it. Please don't send bank or card details.

What happens next

What happens after you send it

  1. 1

    You tell us the problem

Pick what it's closest to and describe it in your own words. It doesn't need to be technical. Photos help.

  2. 2

    A real person reads it

Not a bot or a call centre. We reply by email or phone, usually with questions first if something isn't clear.

  3. 3

    We send honest options

Depending on the problem: where to get the part, suitable local garages to ask, what we'd check first, or whether it's worth fixing at all. Prices come from the seller or garage, not our guesses.

  4. 4

    You decide

Free to ask, no obligation. Nothing is booked, ordered or paid for unless you say yes. If we can't help, we'll say so.

Common questions

Does it cost anything to ask?

No. It is free to ask and there is no obligation. We reply with honest options. If a garage or parts seller charges for something, they give you the price and you decide whether to go ahead.

Can you recover my broken-down car?

No, we are not a recovery company. If you are in danger or stuck on a motorway, call 999. If you have breakdown cover, call them. Once you are safe, we can help with the next steps, such as the repair, parts, or whether the car is worth fixing.

How quickly will you reply?

A real person reads every request and replies by email or phone as soon as we can. We are a small business, so we cannot promise an exact time. For anything urgent or dangerous, do not wait for us. Call 999 or your breakdown cover.

What if I don't know what's wrong with the car?

That is fine. Choose "Not sure, just need advice" and describe what the car is doing in your own words: noises, warning lights, smells, when it happens. We will help you work out what kind of garage or check you need next.
