MOT failed in Glasgow
Failed your MOT? Send us the list and we'll find options.
An MOT fail is stressful, especially on a cheap car. Send us the failure list. We look for the parts and suggest suitable local garages, so you can compare before you agree to anything.

Is it worth fixing?
Sometimes the repair costs more than the car is worth. Once you have real prices, compare them with what the car would sell for. If fixing it does not make sense, you can tell us about the car or ask us to look out for a replacement. Our guide MOT failed: what to do next goes through it step by step.

Common questions
Can I drive my car after it fails the MOT?
GOV.UK says you can take it away if your current MOT is still valid and no dangerous problems were listed. Otherwise it must be repaired before you drive it. It must always be roadworthy.
Do I have to get the repairs done at the test centre?
No. You can take the car elsewhere if it is safe and legal to drive. Check the retest rules first, because leaving the car at the test centre for repair can make the partial retest free within 10 working days.
What should I send you?
The make, model and year, the failure items and advisories from the MOT sheet, and the first half of your postcode. A photo of the sheet is ideal.
